FAQ

These are a few of the questions we are frequently asked. If we don’t answer your question here, please email [email protected]

So, do you, like, sell aprons?

No. At least not yet. These days, our foxy aprons are more of a metaphor for feeling confident, sexy & cool in the kitchen. It’s not easy conquering homemade meals each day so, when you do, you should feel like a superhero. And every superhero deserves a uniform. But hey, if you are an independent apron manufacturer looking to partner with a vivacious community of food bloggers, let’s chat. ([email protected])

Then, what’s this website all about?

Simply said, it’s about eating well, having fun and rocking our foxy aprons. We are a community of creative food bloggers that loves to play with our food. We gain daily inspiration from pop culture, history, other bloggers, our friends and our family to develop reliable recipes. We love to photograph, write and inspire others to become more experimental in the kitchen.

What’s a Potluck?

Just like any other, a Hot Pink Apron #Potluck is a gathering where everyone contributes, except instead of meatballs we bring conversation starters.

What’s a Fun Friday?

We Apronites celebrate the last Friday of each month with a recap of the delicious pop culture we’ve been devouring – what we’re reading, drinking, listening to, watching, loving. Don’t worry, the topic always returns to food.

Can I use your photo on my blog/website/fb?

All images are property of Hot Pink Apron. Many are taken by Dana so please send a formal request to [email protected] before using. We ask that you never alter or change these images, and please give credit where credit is due.  It’s the right thing to do.

What kind of camera do you use:

Dana: I [now] shoot on a Nikon D7100, most often with a 52 mm or 16-85mm lens. And I always have my iphone 5s in my back pocket to capture dishes and culinary events on the go, and it keeps me connected to our awesome community of visual foodies on instagram(@hotpinkapron).

Can I reference your recipe on my blog?

Absolutely!  We just ask that you link back to hotpinkapron.com. We blog because we love to inspire others to explore new recipes. When you love one of our recipes so much that you want to share it with your readers, well, that just warms our hot pink souls and brings a certain satisfaction to the whole process.

I don’t see my comment, where did it go?

Comments on the site are moderated to ensure we’re not publishing spambots. We do not support or tolerate trolling on our space. This is a happy zone and we are happy, real people doing our best to entertain, so be cool, man.

How do you all communicate if you live in different countries?

Our production and editing process takes place in Google Drive, we chat using Skype and Google+ hangouts and we have a private Hot Pink Apron facebook group for all of the crude, crass & hilarious links that influence our writing. Fingers are crossed for teleportation stations, or at least smell-o-vision, to be become mass manufactured in the near future.
