This Week’s Food Obsession?

Ladies, I have become obsessed with a Nacho Salad. My past 4 meals have been this Nacho Salad: mozzarella cheese melted on tortilla chips, topped with crispy iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado, green onions, jalapeño, homemade salsa and sour cream. When I’m not eating a Nacho Salad, I’m thinking about making one. Last night I made spaghetti for the family, called everyone to the table to eat and decided that I didn’t want pasta, I wanted nachos and made a second nacho dinner just for me. I have it bad, bad for Nacho Salad. Help me feel better about my neurotic ways, tell me your obsessions.

Potluck Q: What food(s) are YOU currently obsessed with?

Amanda: Sourdough. My starter died on me a while ago and I’ve just started a new one. A week later and I have my first decent loaf out of it, and all I want is sourdough.

p.s. crispy bacon and blue cheese toasted sourdough sandwich. It wasn’t the revision snack this procrastinating student deserved, but it was the one she needed. Thank me later.

Caitlin: Marinated eggplant. Oh man, I put this stuff on EVERYTHING lately. Crackers, sandwiches, salads, soups…I even save the oil and vinegar and hot pepper liquid left at the end of the jar and use it to sautee onions and garlic for other recipes. This is the face of pickle addiction.

Michelle: Vegan Basil Pesto. There is enough garlic in my system to ward off evil for the rest of the year.

Jodi:Nacho salad after reading that. But really, hard-boiled eggs. Is that weird? I think I’m missing something in my physical make-up that I’m craving hard-boiled eggs. I’m eating 3 now. It’s stinky in here.

Reagan: My life is ridiculous at the moment as I try to get used to going to work again after mat leave. I’m all up in the raw bars lately. Dates, chopped nuts, coconut, cocoa, some other stuff. They taste like dessert and make me really full!
