Less Bucks, Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

October 30, 2012 By: Dana3 Comments

Food blogging has taught me a few vital trends in the social media perspective of the food obsessed lover. My new love for Pinterest has just made it that much easier to follow. Spring brings an assortment of pastel cake frosting,  summer celebrates fresh and at the first hint of fall, social networks light up with a certain giddiness for the yearly release of Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte. Personally speaking, I don’t really get the hype. Sure, it’s a tasty beverage but I’m always left with a case of the re-re’s (regrets & remorse) regarding the price. So I’m cutting out the middle man and making my own for a third of the cost.

Simple and just as satisfying. Maybe I’ll order Hot Pink Apron recyclable cups to gain the full effect. Hmmmm….

Don’t forget the true touch of the pros, a dash of cinnamon on top.

Yuum!! This is a little unusual for me because we don’t usually have our pumpkin sweet in Australia. I am told it’s because our pumpkin varieties are much better savoury. Love how you have served it in a beautiful jar 🙂

Now you just need to start a campaign to get busy office workers to make it in bulk and take to work in a THERMOS. There is nothing cuter, or nerdier (or more economical) than a Thermos flask. Surely, with the advent of Geek Chic and the Global Financial Fuckup and eco-conciousness, it is time for the Thermos to rise again?

    Just putting it out there.
